Kellogg’s Marketing Challenge

When it comes to challenges in the marketing of a company, a corporation that owns many smaller, different companies is one that has one of the more difficult tasks. Take Kellogg’s for example. They own 22 different brands of cereal alone, most of which need to be marketed toward a different group of customers in order to make good sales.

Tony the Tiger

Lets look at the kid’s cereals, like Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes. Every kid recognizes Tony the Tiger in a heartbeat from the kid-friendly commercials and catchy jingle he always sings. The moment they see him on the box in the grocery store they will be begin to be taking some Frosted Flakes home.
